How Cleared to Roam™ works

1. Get Cleared to Roam™
In the app, select Get Cleared to Roam™ and complete your purchase. -
2. Complete the background check
You’ll receive an email from Roamate’s third‑party global background‑check provider with instructions to complete the process. All checks are handled securely by the provider, not by Roamate. -
3. Processing & review
Processing times vary by country and jurisdiction. Some checks return quickly, while others require additional time depending on local records and regulations. -
4. Receive your status
If approved, your Cleared to Roam™ badge appears on your profile and you gain access to the Cleared to Roam™ network for 12 months.
Annual renewal
Cleared to Roam™ status is valid for 12 months. Annual renewal helps ensure the network remains current and maintains a consistent safety standard over time. When your status is nearing expiration, you’ll be prompted to renew.
