Community Guidelines

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Roamate™.
• Misrepresenting your age is strictly prohibited.
• We reserve the right to verify age using government-issued identification. Underage accounts will be permanently removed.

Your profile must represent a real, identifiable person.

Required:

• At least one clear photo showing your face.
• The photo must depict you.

Not Allowed:

• Cartoons, anime, avatars, AI-generated images, or illustrations.
• Logos, text-only images, memes, or graphics.
• Group-only photos where you are not clearly identifiable.
• Heavily altered images that obscure your real appearance.
• Nudity or sexually suggestive imagery.
• Images of unclothed children or children depicted alone.

Roamate™ may require users to replace photos that do not meet authenticity or safety standards.

Usernames must reflect your real first name or a recognizable variation of your name.

Usernames may not:

• Contain explicit or offensive language.
• Impersonate another individual, celebrity, or brand.
• Include social media handles, phone numbers, or contact information.
• Use symbols or formatting intended to evade moderation.

Roamate™ reserves the right to require users to update usernames that do not meet these standards.

Roamate™ does not permit:

• Nudity or sexually explicit images (including in private messages).
• Sending unsolicited explicit images.
• Sexually graphic language.
• Requests for explicit photos.

Explicit sexual images are blocked and will not be delivered.

Roamate™ is a travel compatibility platform — not a dating, escort, or arrangement service.

We prohibit:

• Soliciting sexual encounters.
• Offering or requesting compensation tied to companionship.
• Promoting escort-style or pay-per-meet arrangements.
• Using Roamate™ to pursue sexual services.

To protect user safety and prevent spam:

Not Allowed In:

• Profiles
• Usernames
• RoamBoard posts
• Trip listings

Users may not include:

• Phone numbers
• Email addresses
• Social media handles
• Messaging app IDs
• External links

Allowed In:

• Private messages between consenting users.

We prohibit:

• Threats of violence.
• Stalking or intimidation.
• Repeated unwanted contact.
• Insults, humiliation, or degradation.
• Blackmail or coercion.
• Unwanted sexual comments or advances.

Respect and consent are mandatory.

Roamate™ maintains zero tolerance for:

• Sexual content involving minors.
• Exploitation or endangerment of children.
• Sharing or referencing child abuse material.

Violations will result in permanent removal and may be reported to authorities.

We strictly prohibit:

• Requests for money.
• Financial scams.
• False romantic or travel pretenses for monetary gain.
• Investment or cryptocurrency schemes.
• Off-platform payment manipulation.

Roamate™ may not be used to:

• Advertise products or services.
• Promote adult content platforms.
• Drive traffic to external commercial ventures without authorization.

We strictly prohibit content that promotes hatred, degradation, or violence toward individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.

Credible threats of violence, sexual assault, coercion, trafficking, or exploitation will result in immediate suspension and may be reported to authorities.

Authenticity is required. We prohibit:

• Catfishing.
• Impersonation.
• Deliberately misleading personal details (including age, gender, or location).

We prohibit:

• Automated scraping or bot activity.
• Creating multiple accounts to evade enforcement.
• Circumventing bans using alternate accounts or technical workarounds.

If you encounter behavior that violates these guidelines, use the in-app Report feature.

False or malicious reporting based solely on a user’s identity may result in enforcement action.

Violations of these Community Guidelines may result in one or more of the following actions, depending on severity and context:

• Removal of content
• Issuance of warnings
• Restriction of messaging privileges
• Temporary suspension
• Permanent account termination
• Reporting of criminal conduct to law enforcement

Paid status does not exempt any user from enforcement. Accounts found to be in violation may be suspended or permanently removed, including accounts with active paid subscriptions.

Roamate™ reserves the right to terminate access without refund in cases involving serious violations, abuse, exploitation, fraud, or conduct that threatens user safety or platform integrity.

Roamate™ may also take action for harmful conduct occurring off-platform if it relates to interactions initiated through Roamate™.

These guidelines exist to ensure Roamate™ remains a safe, trustworthy space for meaningful travel connections.
