The Roamate “Refund Campaign” (the “Campaign”) is a limited-time, discretionary, skill-based promotional initiative. By participating, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules (“Rules”).

Roamate is a private company and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or acting on behalf of the IRS or any government agency. This Campaign is a private marketing promotion only.
Terms such as “refund,” “claim,” and “Solo Tax” are promotional language only and do not refer to any tax refund, tax credit, tax filing, government benefit, insurance claim, legal claim, or reimbursement entitlement.

Entry is not conditioned on purchase, subscription, download, payment, or use of any Roamate product or service because a free Alternative Method of Entry (“AMOE”) is available in Section 5. A purchase, subscription, app download, or use of any Roamate product or service does not increase the likelihood of selection.
The Campaign is void where prohibited, restricted, taxed, licensed, bonded, translated, registered, filed, or otherwise regulated by applicable law in a manner that Roamate has not chosen to satisfy, including jurisdictions that require governmental approval, notices, local representation, prize disclosures, prize deposits, local-language rules, or other compliance steps.
Participants are solely responsible for determining whether participation is lawful in their jurisdiction. Roamate may reject, void, or disqualify any entry or decline to issue any Reward where participation, administration, or fulfillment would create legal, regulatory, tax, sanctions, AML/KYC, privacy, fraud, operational, or other compliance risk, as determined by Roamate in its sole discretion.

This Campaign is a private marketing promotion only. Roamate does not prepare tax returns or file claims with any government agency and does not provide tax, legal, or financial advice.

The Campaign begins at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time on March 30, 2026 and ends at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on April 15, 2026 (the “Campaign Period”). Roamate’s server time and records are the official timekeeping device for the Campaign.
Email AMOE entries must be received by the end of the Campaign Period.
Mail AMOE entries must be postmarked no later than April 15, 2026 and received by April 22, 2026.
Roamate may extend, shorten, suspend, modify, or terminate the Campaign at any time in accordance with Section 15.

Roamate may verify eligibility at any time and may disqualify any participant at its sole discretion.

This Campaign is a skill-based promotional initiative and not a lottery, raffle, or sweepstakes.
Selection is based on subjective, discretionary criteria determined by Roamate under Section 10. No random drawing is required or promised.
Submission of an entry does not create:
- a contractual obligation;
- a right to compensation;
- a reimbursement claim;
- a refund entitlement;
- a guarantee of selection;
- a guarantee that any Reward will be issued; or
- a guarantee that any Reward will equal, approximate, or relate to any claimed amount.
Any use of the terms “refund,” “refund campaign,” “Solo Tax,” or similar language is symbolic, expressive, and promotional only and does not constitute a legal reimbursement program, insurance product, tax refund, financial service, or promise to repay any actual travel expense, lodging cost, transportation cost, fee, surcharge, or other amount.
Any “claim total” or “Solo Tax” amount submitted by an entrant is entrant-supplied only, is not verified by Roamate, and may be ignored, discounted, or given no weight by Roamate. Any Reward, if awarded, may be less than, greater than, unrelated to, or not based on any claimed amount.
Participation does not create any agency, partnership, employment, joint venture, fiduciary, or franchise relationship between participant and Roamate.

Eligible participants may submit one (1) entry total per person during the Campaign Period using one of the following methods (each, a “Submission”):
During the Campaign Period, an entrant may:
- complete and submit the claim form at roamateapp.com/refund; and
- complete a Roamate profile, including a bio and photo.
The claim form may include the questions, prompts, and fields designated by Roamate from time to time. For clarity, the claim is submitted through the claim form at roamateapp.com/refund and not in-app.

- AMOE entries will receive the same general consideration under the same selection framework as claim-form entries.
- Limit one (1) Submission total per person during the Campaign Period, regardless of entry method. Multiple entries may be disqualified or treated as void.
- Proof of sending, posting, uploading, transmission, mailing, or attempted submission is not proof of receipt. Roamate is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, illegible, misdirected, delayed, postage-due, filtered, blocked, corrupted, or technically unsuccessful entries.
- Mailed entries become Roamate’s property and will not be returned or acknowledged.
- Commenting on social posts, reposting, tagging, or sharing campaign content is optional only and does not constitute a formal entry method unless Roamate expressly states otherwise in a written amendment to these Rules.

- original, or submitted with all necessary rights and permissions;
- truthful to the best of the entrant’s knowledge;
- lawful;
- non-defamatory, non-obscene, and non-harassing; and
- free of malware, malicious code, deceptive links, or hidden content.
Submissions must not:
- infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
- contain hate speech, threats, graphic violence, or unlawful material;
- include sensitive personal data, confidential financial data, government ID numbers, passport numbers, full payment card numbers, health data, or similar information; or
- misrepresent facts, identities, travel history, or claimed losses.
If a Submission includes another person’s name, likeness, image, quote, or personal information, the entrant represents that the entrant has obtained all permissions needed for such use.
Roamate may remove, reject, edit for formatting, request redaction, or disqualify any Submission in its sole discretion.

Roamate reserves the right to disqualify any participant for:
- automated entries, scripts, bots, macros, scraping, bulk submissions, or other non-human means;
- false identities, impersonation, or misleading account information;
- coordinated manipulation, including fake engagement, vote brigading, or manufactured activity;
- attempts to exploit bugs, loopholes, timing discrepancies, or administrative errors; or
- any conduct Roamate deems inconsistent with the letter or spirit of the Campaign.
Roamate may, but is not required to, pursue civil, equitable, administrative, or other remedies for fraud or abuse.

If Roamate provides any optional upload field, including screenshots, receipts, itineraries, or similar materials, such uploads are optional and do not increase or guarantee selection unless Roamate expressly states otherwise in writing.
Participants are solely responsible for ensuring uploads do not contain sensitive personal data.
The Solo Tax Calculator, any claimed amount, and any displayed estimate are for illustrative, expressive, and promotional purposes only. They are not tax advice, legal advice, financial advice, reimbursement calculations, or verified loss determinations. Roamate makes no representation that any claimed amount is accurate, complete, recoverable, or legally meaningful.

Roamate may collect and process personal information to administer the Campaign, receive and review Submissions, communicate with participants, verify eligibility, prevent fraud, comply with law, and deliver Rewards (if any), in accordance with Roamate’s Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Where legally required or operationally necessary, Roamate may request additional information for verification, fraud prevention, tax reporting, sanctions screening, or fulfillment.

Selection is subjective and discretionary. Roamate may consider one or more of the following factors, in any weighting and in any combination Roamate chooses:
- creativity and clarity of storytelling;
- authenticity;
- relatability and resonance;
- narrative impact;
- relevance to solo travel and “End the Solo Tax” themes;
- originality;
- overall promotional fit with the Campaign.
Roamate may give no weight to any claimed amount.
Roamate may select none, some, or many participants during or after the Campaign Period, including after receipt of timely mailed AMOE entries. Roamate is under no obligation to select any minimum number of participants.
Roamate’s decisions are final and binding to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Roamate may, in its sole and absolute discretion, select one or more participants to receive a discretionary promotional reward (“Reward”). Roamate is under no obligation to award any Reward and may elect to award zero (0) Rewards.
Roamate has the sole and absolute right to determine:
- whether any Rewards are awarded;
- the number of Rewards;
- the recipients;
- the type, timing, and value of each Reward;
- whether a Reward is reduced, substituted, delayed, withheld, or withdrawn; and
- the method of delivery and fulfillment.
Rewards may include, without limitation:
- digital gift cards fulfilled electronically;
- promotional credits;
- merchandise;
- feature inclusion, social recognition, or editorial inclusion; or
- other promotional items determined by Roamate.
Any Reward value, if any, may vary and need not correspond to the entrant’s claimed amount. Rewards are discretionary and not guaranteed; may vary in type and value; may be substituted, modified, reduced, delayed, or withdrawn; have no transferable cash equivalent except where required by law; and may be denied if fulfillment is impracticable, unlawful, unavailable, or inconsistent with these Rules.
A notification, congratulatory message, shortlist status, or selection message does not create a vested right or final entitlement to a Reward. A Reward is not final until Roamate completes verification and initiates or completes fulfillment.

Selected participants may be notified by email, direct message, or other contact method associated with the Submission.
Selected participants must respond within the time specified by Roamate, which may be as short as forty-eight (48) hours from first attempted notice, or the Reward may be forfeited.
Roamate may require verification of identity, age, residency, eligibility, sanctions status, and compliance with these Rules. Roamate may also require declarations, releases, tax forms, affidavits, publicity permissions, or other documentation as permitted by law.
If a selected participant:
- cannot be contacted;
- fails to respond on time;
- fails verification;
- fails to provide requested documents;
- refuses the Reward;
- is found ineligible; or
- becomes ineligible before fulfillment,
then the Reward may be forfeited in whole or in part, and Roamate may select an alternate recipient or elect not to award any replacement.

Recipients are solely responsible for any taxes, duties, fees, reporting obligations, exchange consequences, or other charges arising from the receipt, use, or redemption of any Reward.
Where required by law, Roamate may request tax documentation, including IRS Form W-9 or any local equivalent, before issuing a Reward.
If aggregate Rewards issued to a U.S. participant meet applicable IRS or other reporting thresholds, Roamate may issue any required tax forms, including a Form 1099-MISC or similar form. Failure to provide requested documentation may result in forfeiture or withholding.
Where legally required, Roamate may require a selected participant to answer a skill-testing question or complete another validation step before receiving a Reward.

If Roamate elects to issue a Reward in the form of a digital gift card, the Reward will be fulfilled by GoGift and delivered electronically, typically to the email address associated with the selected participant’s Submission.
Digital gift card Rewards may be denominated in USD. At redemption, GoGift, the end merchant, or another third-party provider may convert value into local currency using then-applicable exchange rates and may apply foreign-exchange spreads, fees, deductions, country-specific limits, or merchant-specific restrictions.
Rewards are subject to:
- these Rules;
- GoGift’s then-current terms and conditions;
- any merchant or partner gift card terms; and
- any country-, currency-, or provider-specific limitations.
Digital gift card Rewards:
- are non-transferable;
- may not be resold, assigned, auctioned, or bartered;
- are not redeemable for cash except where required by law; and
- are not refundable to the recipient except where required by law.
Brand availability, merchant availability, country availability, redemption options, values, minimums, maximums, validity periods, and usage restrictions may vary and may change without notice.
Roamate is not responsible for:
- lost, bounced, filtered, blocked, delayed, or spam-filtered emails;
- incorrect or outdated email addresses or other contact information;
- redemption issues caused by issuer, merchant, country, currency, or provider restrictions;
- third-party merchant changes, outages, term changes, discontinuations, insolvency, or refusal to honor a gift card;
- post-delivery loss, theft, unauthorized use, or misuse; or
- any inability to redeem arising from the participant’s location, device, payment method, sanctions status, or local law.
Replacement is not guaranteed.

- legal, regulatory, tax, sanctions, or platform-policy changes occur;
- GoGift or another provider becomes unavailable or changes its terms;
- fulfillment becomes impracticable or undesirable;
- administrative, printing, computational, typographical, or production errors occur; or
- Roamate determines, in its sole discretion, that continuation is not feasible or desirable.
Roamate may also reduce, substitute, cancel, delay, or discontinue any Reward at any time in its sole discretion.

By submitting content, each participant represents and warrants that the participant has all rights necessary to submit the content and to grant the rights stated herein.
Except where prohibited by law, participants grant Roamate and its designees a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, fully sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, edit, translate, publish, distribute, display, perform, create derivative works from, and otherwise exploit the Submission, in whole or in part, in any media now known or later developed, for marketing, advertising, promotional, editorial, reporting, analytics, internal, research, and public-relations purposes.
Except where prohibited by law, participants waive any right to inspect or approve such use and waive any claim to additional compensation. To the extent permitted by law, participants also waive moral rights or similar rights in the Submission.

No Reward will be issued in violation of U.S. sanctions, export controls, anti-money-laundering requirements, anti-fraud requirements, or third-party fulfillment restrictions.
Roamate may update this restricted-jurisdiction list at any time before any Reward is issued and may refuse, cancel, or revoke eligibility or fulfillment where compliance concerns arise.

Roamate reserves the right to interpret and apply these Rules and to correct clerical, typographical, administrative, computational, or production errors at any time.

By participating, participants release and hold harmless Roamate, GoGift, and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, service providers, partners, agents, successors, and assigns from and against any and all claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising out of or relating to:
- participation in the Campaign;
- submission of content or information;
- acceptance, non-acceptance, use, misuse, or non-receipt of any Reward;
- technical, postal, electronic, platform, provider, merchant, or third-party failures;
- any claimed amount, estimate, or calculator output; or
- any violation by the participant of these Rules or applicable law.
Participants agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Roamate and the other released parties from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from the participant’s Submission, misconduct, misrepresentation, breach of these Rules, or violation of any law or third-party right.
Participation is at entrant’s own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Roamate’s total aggregate liability arising from or relating to the Campaign shall not exceed the lesser of:
- the actual retail value of any Reward actually received by the participant, or
- USD $100.
Under no circumstances shall Roamate be liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, special, exemplary, or consequential damages, lost profits, loss of opportunity, reputational harm, attorneys’ fees, or multiplied damages, regardless of theory of liability, except where such limitation is prohibited by law.

Except where prohibited by law, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to the Campaign or these Rules by a U.S. participant shall be resolved exclusively by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its applicable rules in Pennsylvania, USA.
Either party may bring an eligible individual claim in small claims court instead of arbitration.
No class action, mass action, consolidated proceeding, representative action, private attorney general action, or jury trial is permitted. Each participant waives any right to participate in any class or representative proceeding.
This Section applies only to the maximum extent permitted by law. If arbitration is not enforceable for a particular claim, then that claim shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania, and the participant consents to such jurisdiction and venue, except where prohibited by law.

These Rules constitute the entire agreement regarding the Campaign and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications relating to the Campaign, except to the extent a written amendment is posted by Roamate.
